Lindsay dumps Riley

FINALLY! The beautiful, talented, Lindsay Lohan has kicked her loser boyfriend, Riley Giles, to the curb! This happened last week, because Riley wasn't supporting Lindsay's new sober lifestyle.

Riley was spotted at NYC's hot hangout, the Pink Elephant, the day before the breakup. Not a good place to be hanging out after just getting out of rehab.

Akon Charged

Akon has been charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment. At an earlier concert this year, a 15 year old boy threw something at the singer on stage. Akon asked the crowd to point out the person who threw the object and when the boy was identified, Akon had a security guard bring him on stage. That is when he hoisted the boy onto his shoulders and flung him into the crowd! The boy landed on another kid, who suffered a concussion.

Akon is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Lindsay Can't Catch A Break

This is one film Lindsay Lohan does NOT want to star in. LA judge Michael Stern has ruled a busboy will videotape Lindsay's deposition as part of a lawsuite against her.

Raymundo Ortega, a paparazzo, is suing Lindsay for at least $200,000 in damages when Lindsay crashed her Mercedes into Ortega's old van in 2005.

Ortega claims Lindsay was under the influence of alcohol while she drove on Robertson Blvd. after lunching at the Ivy.

Usher Welcomes Baby Boy

Usher, 29, and his wife, Tameka Foster, 36, welcomed a baby boy Monday night in Atlanta, a source confirms to SCN.

No other details were given and reps for the couple couldn't be reached for comment.

The child was expected in December, the R&B singer told Us Magazine at an NYC event November 3.

"I hope it will happen naturally," he said. "I hope he's not too late and not too early!"

He told Us Magazine he wanted to name their son Usher Raymond V. "I'm the Fourth, so I can imagine it's a good thing to make him the Fifth," he explained.

It is the first child for the couple, who wed in a civil ceremony in Atlanta on September 1.

Lindsay Lohan and her little sister, Ali shopped in NYC on Black Friday, wiping out all high priced stores, such as Armani and Intermix. The girls shopped till' they dropped, along side their mom, Dina Lohan, who brought along a photog (who's doesn't) as they spent, and spent away.

Britney Spears may be adopting babies from China very soon. The News of the World is reporting Brit is "...in the final stages of talkes with an adoption agency."

Hogan's Shocking Divorce

Linda Hogan filed for divorce from her husband of nearly 24 years, wrester Hulk Hogan, the AP reports.

Hulk, whose real name is Terry Bollea, learned of the split after a reporter told him paperwork was filed in Pinellas County court November 20.

"Thank you for the great information," Hulk, 54, told the St. Petersburg Times reporter.

In a later interview with the Times, Hulk said: "My wife has been in California for about three weeks. ... Holy smokes. Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me."

On their VH1 reality TV series, Hogan Knows Best, the couple had been attending marital counseling, but seemed to reconcile.

The past several months have been tumultuous for the family.

On November 7, Nick Bollea, Hogan's 17-year-old son, was arrested on reckless-driving charges stemming from an August 26 crash in which he was racing his 1998 Toyota Supra against a Dodge Viper driven by a friend.

John Graziano, who was in Bollea's passenger seat and not wearing a seat belt, was seriously injured and is still in the hospital.

The Hogans, who also have a daughter, Brooke, 19, live in a $12 million home in Miami Beach.

Bachelor Winner Goes to Jail

An early morning fight between The Bachelor and the final rose winner ended with one in jail.
Authorities in Seminole, Florida told the AP that professional fisherman Byron Velvick was punched in the mouth by Mary Delgado, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer cheerleader he's lived with since proposing on the final episode in 2004.
According to a police affidavit, Delgado was taken into custody on a battery charge just after midnight November 21. The report, which said she was under the influence of alcohol, also listed the couple as living together "as a family" for the past three years.
Delgado, who appeared with Velvick on a special episode of The Bachelor called "After the Final Rose" that aired November 20, was released later Wednesday afternoon.

Dennis Quaid's Kids Fighting For Their Lives

Dennis Quaid's newborn twins are in stable condition after being given an accidental drug overdose at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

In a statement to Us Magazine, Quaid’s rep said: “Dennis and [his wife] Kimberly appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers and hope they can maintain their privacy at this difficult time.”

Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace - whom Quaid and his wife welcomed via a surrogate on November 8 — were given a 10,000 units of Heparin — an anti-coagulant used to flush out IV lines and prevent blood clots — this past Sunday and began to "bleed out," TMZ.com first reported Tuesday. (Babies typically get 10 units.)

The newborns, who are in the hospital's neo-natal intensive care unit, are being given the drug Protamine, which reverses the effects of Heparin.

Brit Hires a Private Investigator

Kevin Federline's attorney is speaking out about a recent report that Britney Spears has hired a private investigator to dig up dirt in their ongoing custody battle.

TMZ.com first reported the news Monday.

"I think that if that is what they need to do, or have to do, to have at it," Federline's counsel, Mark Vincent Kaplan, tells Us Magazine. "I don’t think it will, in anyway, be a good expenditure of funds. But I can’t stop that from happening."

However, he said it would be a waste of time for them to follow Federline, 29, around.
"I don’t think he would be concerned about it, and I don’t think he has to change anything he is doing in order to address that," Kaplan added.

DRIVING UPDATE

Meanwhile, Spears' attorney Anne Kiley revealed Monday to Us Magazine that Spears — who has been banned from driving with her kids in the car — has decided to hire a driver to avoid any dangerous incidents with the paparazzi.

Though Kaplan said he hasn't seen that Spears, 25, has hired a driver or read Kiley's statement, he tells Us Magazine, "anything that puts the children in a car that reduces the risk ... I am all for that."
He added, "We are only concerned when she is driving the kids."

For Federline's part, Kaplan said his client tries his best not to take his kids out in front of the paparazzi. "He’s pretty good about keeping the kids at home with him unless there is really a compelling reason why they need to be going somewhere," he said.

THANKSGIVING PLANS

He would not comment whether Spears will celebrate Thanksgiving with her sons on Wednesday, and Federline will have them Thursday, as reported by TMZ.com Monday.
"I think that nobody wants to be celebrating the holidays without their kids," he said. "I’m sure that will be worked out in a way that makes sense for everybody."

Mary-Kate Olsen rushed to a NYC ER last night, the cause of a kidney infection. She is said to be doing well and is, "...resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so."

Britney's Disturbing Childhood

Britney Spears made a name for herself as a happy, wholesome pop star who was saving herself for marriage.

But lawyer Eric Ervin, who worked with Spears as a teenager, tells Us Magazine in its new cover story that the "virgin" image Spears portrayed was, in his words, a "PR blitz." In fact, Us reports in its new issue that Spears lost her virginity at 14 to boyfriend Reg Jones, and that she and Justin Timberlake were intimate from the beginning.

Something Spears also kept secret: Her family's tragic history.
SCN has learned that Spears' paternal grandmother, Emma Jean Spears, in June 1966 committed suicide at age 31. Britney's grandmother, who suffered from depression, shot herself in the chest with a shotgun at the grave of her infant son who had died eight years earlier just three days after being born.

A local newspaper article obtained by SCN reported at the time: "The shotgun had been pressed against the woman's chest and she apparently pulled the trigger with a toe of the right foot from which a shoe had been removed." The newspaper reported that Emma Jean had attempted suicide three times before.

Emma Jean Spears left behind four other children, including Britney's father, Jamie Spears, then an eighth grader. Two of Jamie Spears' brothers ended up with criminal records and homeless.

YES! Lindsay Lohan and her father, Michael Lohan are opening a restaurant in LA, to open sometime next year. Michael says, "It will be a place where she (Lindsay) can be around people she can trust-where she can hang her hat and call her own."

It will be modeled after a favorite Long Island spot and Michael says, "we are aiming for a five-star restaurant."

Lindsay Checks In and Out of Jail

Lindsay Lohan did her time at Lynwood Jail for her DUI in July for a whole 84 minutes today, checking in at 10:30am and check out at 11:54am. 2 more minutes than her former party pal, Nicole Richie.

She is now serving community service time at a local Red Cross.
