Brit Teaches Kids at Dance Studio

Britney Spears taught dance to children not much older than her own boys on Monday at Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood. The pop star kicked off the class by introducing herself to each five year old and shaking their hand, a source said.“She comes in, she winds them up, and then tells them, ‘I guess I have tointroduce myself to you guys!’.” said Robert Baker, Millennium co-owner.Britney looked happy and upbeat, he said. Madonna’s “Material Girl” and“True Love” were part of her play list. Britney led the class in “her favorite brown cowboy boots, fishnet stockings, a red short skirt, and a bluish greenish top that hangs down past her skirt.”“She worked out this great little routine for them, they were dancing allover the place, she had them dancing in a circle like a choo-choo train,” hesaid. “The kids loved it- they are having a ball right now. And Britney-she’s just drinking it up. She’s totally enjoying herself. It’s an amazingclass- she and the kids are certainly enjoying the process.”Parents for the seven kids waited outside while she taught.A little girl, who took the class, gushed, "We had so much fun. Britney was wearing little red shorts and she looked so pretty” as she and her mother headed to their car.Britney was involuntarily committed to UCLA Medical Center for treatment of bipolar disorder on January 31. She has been a staple at the studio since she was released Wednesday, Feb. 6.“Britney’s telling me that she likes this so much that she’s thinking aboutmaking it a regular thing, possibly every other week. She loves to interactwith the kids, and she feels that it’s important to give back to the dancecommunity,” Baker said.

Sam Demands Money From Brit

In a declaration filed in the Brit conservatorship case, a lawyer for the conservators accused Sam Lutfi of demanding money from poor Brit.Attorney Jeryll Cohen wrote, "During the telephone conversation, Mr. Grossman [Brit's business manager] told me that he had numerous e-mails from Osama (Sam) Lutfi in which Mr. Lutfi made various demands, including demands for money. Mr. Grossman told me he did not comply with Mr. Lutfi's demands."Cohen and the other lawyers have asked the court commissioner to let the conservators fire Mr. Grossman, in part because they say he has refused to provide copies of Lutfi's e-mails to them.

Britney Spears' father and coconservator, Jamie, was granted a change in the rules concerning his decision-making power over her medical, financial, and legal matters, a LA Superior Court judge decided Thursday afternoon.
Attorneys for both sides met with the judge behind closed doors. It is unclear what was decided or discussed.
Jamie and attorney Andrew Wallet were named co-conservators of Britney's legal, medical, and financial decisions on Friday.
The court's decision to put them in charge was the worst-case scenario for Britney, sources told Us, as she has never been close to her father (who battled alcohol abuse during her childhood and was verbally abusive).
Neither Britney nor her father, Jamie, was in attendance at today's court hearing. Jamie's attorneys, Vivian Lee and Jeryll Cohen, were arguing for him, while Samuel Ingham, a court-appointed counsel, represented Britney. Wallet was also in court.
Britney was released from the UCLA Medical Center yesterday after a week of treatment. She had been expected to remain hospitalized for another 10 days.
The singer was involuntarily committed to treatment for bipolar disorder on January 31.

Britney Out and About

Watch out L.A.! An unstable Britney is driving around in her new black new 2-seater Mercedes.

BREAKING NEWS:Britney Released

Britney Spears has been released from the psychiatric ward at UCLA Medical Center, the L.A. Times is reporting. According to the paper, Spears slipped quietly out -- compared to the massive fanfare that went on the night she went in. A law enforcement source tells TMZ the hospital let her go "because she was no longer required to stay there after 11:30 AM." We have not confirmed this independently, however, if the hospital decides Britney is no longer a danger to herself or others, the hospital loses its basis to hold her against her will.

UCLA doctors determined Britney did not pose the legal danger to herself or to others, such that they could continue to hold her against her will.As a result, she was released today and we're told she's already back home. The conservatorship is still in place. Sources connected with the case say they anticipated that UCLA would probably release her before the 14-day extension because she became cooperative and relatively stable. We're told the goal with Brit's mom and dad was to establish the conservatorship while she was hospitalized so she would return home to a controlled environment rather than the chaos that consumed her life.

Sam Brainwashed Britney

The restraining order against Sam Lutfi requires Sam to stay 250 yards away from Britney, UCLA Medical Center, her parents' homes, siblings' homes, childrens' homes and Britney's homes.According to the document, "He has cut Britney's home phone line and removed her cell phone chargers. He yells at her. He claims to control everything."According to a declaration filed by Lynne Spears, on January 28, Lynne and Jamie arrived for an intervention -- "Sam had told Britney that she was an unfit mother, a piece of trash and a whore, that she cares more about Adnan, her current boyfriend, than she cares about her kids, and that she does not deserve the kids."The documents claim Sam said, "Adnan is gay ... Britney came into the room looking for Adnan ... Britney then asked me, 'Is Adnan gay?"At one point, Britney "picked up a bottle of pills and read part of the label and asked us, 'What does insomnia mean?' Sam told her that the pills will help her stay awake." Lynne continues, "Sam told Jackie and me that he grinds up Britney's pills, which were on the counter and included Risperdal (an anti-psychotic drug for schizophrenia and bipolarity) and Seroquel." The docs continue, "He told us that the doctor who is treating her now is trying to get her into a sleep-induced coma so that they could then give her drugs to heal her brain."According to the docs, Sam then encouraged Brit "to do tequila shots." The document then claims Sam said, "let's all do toasts with wine." Brit refused to drink.Lynne claims before leaving for the drug store that night, Sam gave her drugs upstairs "to make her more light-hearted, happy, and fun."During a dispute later that night, Sam allegedly said, "If you try to get rid of me, she'll be dead and I'll piss on her grave."The docs claim Brit "changed her three dogs' clothes many times" in an agitated state." Brit said, "Can I see another psychiatrist so I can see my babies?" Sam responded, "If I told you to take 10 pills a day, you should do what I tell you to see your babies."At one point, Brit allegedly said, "I want my Daddy up here. I want to talk to my Daddy."

Charges Dropped?

The busboy who claims Lindsay Lohan was drunk when she slammed into his car while speeding down Robertson Blvd. in 2005 has now dropped his claim against the famed Ivy restaurant -- but he's still going after Lindsay.

Raymundo Ortega initially filed suit against Lilo and the Ivy (where Lindsay dined that day), alleging waiters at the Ivy served the starlet, knowing she was not 21. They even carted out the receipt to prove it! The Ivy maintained they had done nothing wrong and that Lindsay, who was with a group of people, was not drinking that day.The next court date is set for March 21.

Michelle Releases Statement

Ten days after the death of Heath Ledger, former fianceƩ and baby mama Michelle Williams released a statement. It reads: "Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken. I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day. His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time and we know that he is with us still. She will be brought up with the best memories of him."
